Zain Esports Unveils Groundbreaking University Esports Roadshow Initiative to Empower Gamers Across the Kingdom

Manama, Bahrain – 10 November 2024 – Zain eSports, a first-of-its-kind, unique platform that serves as a pioneering hub for the growing esports ecosystem in Bahrain, is excited to announce the inaugural edition of Zain Esports University Roadshow, a groundbreaking initiative designed to provide a competitive esports platform for students across the Kingdom, from November 4 to December 11, 2024. This initiative aims to engage university students to compete in a structured and exciting gaming platform extending far beyond the screen's confines, offering educational insights into the burgeoning esports industry.

Zain Esports University Roadshow will visit different universities weekly and host tournaments from Monday to Wednesday. Participants will compete in popular game titles, including eFootball, Tekken 8, and Rocket League, vying for their university's champion title.

Zain Esports is committed to establishing a robust esports ecosystem within the collegiate space in partnership with local universities. The Roadshow aims to provide students with a platform to showcase their competitive skills, offer valuable insights into career and training opportunities within the esports industry, and foster a vibrant community of young, competitive gamers in the Kingdom. Participants will have access to information about various tournaments and events hosted at Zain Esports Lab, further enhancing their understanding of this dynamic field.

Teal Flamingo Studios, a media and production company specializing in esports, video production and broadcasting, content creation, and event management, will operate the Roadshow, leveraging its extensive experience and history of successfully managing previous leagues.

Zain Bahrain's Chief Communication and Investor Relations Officer, Shaikh Abdulla bin Khalid Al Khalifa, commented, "We are proud to inaugurate and sponsor Zain Esports University Roadshow initiative, which highlights Zain's ongoing commitment to fostering innovation among the youth and underscores the growing significance of esports in today's digital landscape. The Roadshow will culminate in an exhilarating Grand Finals event at the Zain Esports Lab from December 9 to 11, where the top representatives from participating universities will battle for the ultimate championship title.
